The WSOP is Coming to the Bahamas

The World Series of Poker (WSOP), which took place this summer in Las Vegas and concluded on 7.18.23, shattered all records. Over 10,000 players registered for the main event of the WSOP, with Daniel Weinman emerging as the winner, taking home $12,100,000.

It didn't take long for the WSOP, in collaboration with the GGNetwork, to announce that the WSOP Winter Series will be held for the first time in the Bahamas on 12.3-14.23.

WSOP-Paradise-2023

The global excitement generated by the World Championship in Las Vegas and the desire of live and online poker players for another prestigious WSOP event, in addition to the European round, prompted the WSOP and the GG Network to swiftly declare that the event will take place on Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

15 Bracelets and Millions of Dollars Guaranteed

During the WSOP Paradise tour in the Bahamas, players will not only get to enjoy the sun and amazing beaches, but also participate in a series of tournaments where 15 bracelets will be up for grabs and the total guaranteed prize pool is $50,000,000.

The following events will be featured:

  • The main event with an entry fee of $5,000 and a guaranteed prize pool of $15,000,000.
  • Mystery Bounty Tournament with a $1,500 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000.

The complete game schedule will be published at a later date, and we will provide updates.

Online Poker Players in the Winter Series

After the GGNetwork sent 774 players (out of 10,043) to the WSOP 2023 Main Event, they have committed to sending at least 1,000 players to WSOP Paradise. This means that online poker players will have a wide selection of qualifying tournaments, where they can win entry to the main tournaments in the tour, as well as packages that include flight and hotel accommodations.

Ty Stewart, the senior CEO of the WSOP, strongly believes in the collaboration with the GG Network. In a recent interview, he stated,

"We have the strongest online partner in the world, and they are set to send a record number of qualifiers to a live tournament."

Daniel Negreanu, a prominent poker player and ambassador for the GG Network, announced on his Twitter account that he plans to take part in the WSOP Paradise tour with hopes of winning another WSOP bracelet.

See you all soon in the Bahamas!
